For those of you who could not make it to the ceremony or the reception, we ran three slideshows of our lives from birth until now. Here they are for your viewing pleasure. You can also view our YouTube site by clicking here:

...and now, a word from Mr. and Mrs. Edwards...

We made it!!

Thank you to everybody for making our wedding a complete success. We had the most perfect day. I hope you all had as much fun as we did. Our honeymoon was wonderful. We are planning to share some stories and photos of our trip to Northern California on this site soon, so check back in the next few weeks. It was really good to see you all. Family, old friends, new friends, and all of our co-workers, both of us met so many new people that showed us much love and good blessings. Thank you again.

Do we know these people?

We've just recently had it pointed out to us that nowhere on the invitation does it mention who Dylan parents are. Whoops... Invitees who only know Dylan as "So and so's son" were probably a bit nonplussed at receiving their invitations.
Dylan is Lynn Edwards' baby boy and his father was the late Robert Edwards.
If you have received our invitation in error, please e-mail us to let us know. You're still welcome to come- just make sure to send your RSVP card.

Two months and counting...

Okay, we finally got most of the invites mailed out this past weekend. Who knew that wedding invitations involved so much work? I'm just glad we don't have to do that again (at least 'till we have children...). We apologize to everyone for the short notice and we hope you can all make it out.

Keep checking back on this site as the big day draws nearer, we will be adding any info you may need as well as maps and such.

Our 24 Hour First Date

Margie met Dylan when her dad introduced them at the Deering Banjo Co, where he and Dylan worked. Later that year Margie came to work as an office assistant there when her seasonal position at Sea World ended. She and Dylan became friends and started spending their afternoon breaks together, trying to impress one another with their ecclectic music tastes.
All day on Friday, December 3, 2004 Dylan worked up the nerve to ask Margie out- which he finally did at the end of work that day- to a coffehouse in Santee that was having an open mic. that night. She happily accepted and as she, Bob and Melinda were leaving work Margie gave Dylan their address in Alpine, directions on how to get there and agreed when he would pick her up. (She then got grilled on the way home- what, where, when, why, etc.)
Dylan left his house extra early to make sure he was on time. This turned out to be a very good idea, because he got lost. He turned up in the nick of time and (after being intensely subjected to "the eye" from Melinda) drove off with Margie seated in the back of his heaterless 1963 VW bug (he didn't have his front passenger seat in at the time, "limo-style" as he liked to call it)
At the coffeehouse in Santee they both ordered cups of hot herb tea to sip and to curl their hands around, then sat and watched the open mic. Halfway through, Dylan put his arm around Margie's shoulders and was rewarded by her snuggling a little closer and resting her head on his shoulder.
After the open mic. was over Dylan drove Margie home while she alternately combed tangles out of his ponytail with her cold fingers and put them between the driver's seat and his warm back. After arriving back at the house they sat in the car and talked for a long while, then kissed, and then snuggled together under a wool rug Dylan had hung over the back seat.
They woke to discover it was one in the morning and very cold. Margie didn't want Dylan driving home so late (early) and insisted he come in and sleep on the couch. They cuddled up together on the couch and dozed until six o'clock or so - about the time Bob and his father were waking up. Margie ran off to have a quick shower, leaving Dylan to chat (a tad awkwardly) with her dad and grandpa, then returned for a little breakfast. They later went on a hike to nearby Wright's Field to explore some of the native habitat. They spent the rest of the day talking, watching movies, snuggling, and kissing until later on that night when Dylan checked his cell phone...
As it turned out, his family thought he was dead on the side of the road. They even called the local sheriff to place a missing persons report. It seems he neglected to call his loved ones to tell them that he had survived the the rainy, windy drive up to Alpine. Finally Dylan got a message from a friend who had been contacted by his sisters in Colorado to the effect of "Where the heck are you?! Are you dead?". He got the clue pretty quick that everyone was worried. He made many calls that night to tell everybody he was okay. In fact, he was more than okay. He was on top of the world....
